Classical Music Lovers A
Members host a mixture of CD, DVD or YouTube concerts in their home or in another member’s home.
The group meets twice monthly with each member taking a turn as host. The host provides their music program along with any notes, and afternoon tea. This will generally be in the host’s house but could be held in another member’s house if the host does not have sufficient space with the host providing the program and afternoon tea.
Because of space considerations for hosting, the membership is held at a maximum of 12. This means that generally each member will host twice per year.
The program is entirely over to each host, as is the music medium. Use of YouTube is growing along with diminishing use of CD’s and Vinyl. Programs such as are found on Sky Arts can be used.Convenor: Ross Henderson Phone: 022 017 6369 email: rossh2530@gmail.com Venue: Tauranga / Mount Meetings: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month Time: 1.15 pm – 4.00 pm All Groups in this Category:

Spanish for Beginners
Learn Spanish with a Professional tutor but with no dreary grammar drills, boring lists or tests. Enjoyable, Practical Spanish that you can use straight away.
I’m very excited to convene this group myself. Many members have told us they want to learn a new language, especially one as useful, fun, and friendly as Spanish.
Here’s why I think Spanish is perfect for U3A:
- It’s one of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn.
- It opens the door to travel, culture, music, food, and meeting people.
- Learning a language is one of the best ways to keep your brain sharp.
- It’s fun — especially the way we’re going to learn it.
On a personal level, I’ll be learning right alongside you.
My background is in engineering — something I’ve always found easy — but the only language I studied at school was French… and I failed it!
So if you’ve ever thought “I’m not a language person“, please believe me: if I can learn Spanish, you absolutely can too.Numbers are limited to 10 people, so please get in touch early to secure your place.
