Monthly Meetings

We arrange interesting guest speakers for all our Monthly Meetings. A light morning tea is also provided, offering a great opportunity to socialize with members outside of your usual interest groups.

    Topic: ‘Life’s Most Amazing People’

    Short Speaker: Berenice Langson: Community Engagement Co-ordinator, WBOP Central Region, Hato Hone St John.
    Topic: Information Giving: Falls Prevention Strategy, ‘In Case of Emergency’ Booklets, Health Shuttle Service and Community Engagement Division (A quick overview and Berenice can come in 2027 for an hour session).

    We also want members to be aware that henceforth our entry fee to all monthly meetings at the Yacht Club in Sulphur Point will be $10 per person.

    Our main speaker, David Marshall, President of Grey Power for Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. Grey Power is an advocacy organisation for seniors. Its vision is “A country where seniors live in dignity enjoying a comfortable and sustainable quality of life”.     All are welcome to our monthly meetings. There is a $3 door charge to defray costs (venue hire and morning tea). Remember you can purchase a 5 x monthly meeting card for $15 from the registration desk.

Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club,
Sulphur Point, Tauranga.
When: The third Friday of every month (from February to November).
Time: 10.00 – 12 noon
