Guidelines for Belonging to Groups

Being a member of U3A will be fun, educational and life enriching.

• If you are a paid-up member of Tauranga U3A you can attend monthly meetings and join any group which has a vacancy.
• Groups generally meet in private homes so common courtesy is obviously needed.
• Most groups have a small charge for refreshments and other costs.
• Groups will have extra costs if they meet in a hall, have a tutor, or are supplied with project materials.
• If there is no vacancy contact relevant Group Coordinator to go on the waiting list.

The Groups’ Coordinators are available to help you.  Please contact them

• If you have any concerns or difficulties
• If you have ideas for beginning a new group; or suggestions and/or comments about groups.

Contact your Convenor

• If you are unable to attend the group
• If you intend to withdraw from a group

Non-attendance for 3 meetings, without apology, may forfeit your place in the group.

By being a member of U3A you are committed to the groups you belong to and the Convenor needs to know when you are able or unable to attend a meeting.
