The next Katikati U3A Monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday12th November at the Community Hub (the Centre – Patuki Manawa) next to the Library, from 10:00am – 12:00 noon.
The meeting starts with general business for a few minutes, followed by our short talk which this month will feature Christine Donahue, who will give us an insight into the travel club to which she belongs.
Morning tea will be as close to 10:30 as possible, and, as this is our last monthly meeting for the year, will include a little bit of end-of-year fare.
Our main speaker this month is Professor Alexander (Al) Gillespie Professor of Law at Waikato University. Professor Gillespie is an internationally recognised expert on International Law, Environmental Law, the laws of war, civil liberties and a number of pressing issues of social concern. One of Professor Gillespie’s many areas of expertise is to help us understand the complexities of the world today.
All are welcome to our monthly meetings. There is a $3 door charge to defray costs (venue hire and morning tea). Remember you can purchase a 5 x monthly meeting card for $15 from the registration desk.
