The next Katikati U3A Monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday 8th October at the Community Hub (the Centre – Patuki Manawa) next to the Library, from 10:00am – 12:00 noon.
The meeting starts with general business for a few minutes, followed by our short talk, which this monthwill be from the Early New Zealand History group.
Morning tea will be as close to 10:30 as possible, and will be followed at 11:00am by our guest speaker, Francis Young who is the Lead Author of the recently published ”Katikati From First Peoples to the Present Day”.
Francis will take us through the journey from initial planning to publication, and will highlight some of the components in the book.
Copies of this amazing publication are available from ‘The Arts Junction’ and from ‘Paper Plus’both in Katikati.
All are welcome to our monthly meetings. There is a $3 door charge to defray costs (venue hire and morning tea).
